Louie Lee Groves, age 81, of Benton, KY, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at his home in Benton, KY. He was retired from Suburban Gas. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ.

He honorably served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Purple Heart recipient.

He was the son of the late Lex Groves and the late Amy (Edwards) Groves.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley (Crowley) Groves, Benton, KY; Two Sons: Leslie Groves, wife Cindy, Benton, KY, Lyndall Groves, wife Susie, Benton, KY; Two Sisters: Marjorene Pace, Benton, KY, Dianna McDougal, Benton, KY; and 3 grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2012, Donald Jackson, Murray Riley, and David Myers officiating.

Interment will follow at New Edwards Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Collier Funeral Home.
