Mr. J.D. Bradley, age 86, of Benton, KY, died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Marshall Co. Hospital in Benton, KY. He had attended the Church of Christ.

He was a truck driver, member of the Teamsters Local 236 in Paducah, and also a farmer. Mr. Bradley was a member of the American Legion Post 31 in Paducah, the VFW of Paducah, and the River City Eagles.

Mr. Bradley served his country in the US Army during WWII under General Douglas McArthur in the 544th Engineering Regiment in the liberation of the Phillipines.

He was the son of the late Lowell Bradley and the late Eunice (Poe) Bradley.

He is survived by: One Daughter: Deanna Sheets, Matoon, IL; Five Sons: Micky John Bradley, Benton, KY, Gary Bradley, Gilbertsville, KY, Jerry Bradley, Paducah, KY, Tony Bradley, Calvert City, KY, Billy Bradley, Benton, KY; One Brother: Marvin Bradley, Paducah, KY; 20 Grand Children; and 25 Great-Grand Children

He was preceded in death by his wife: Anna (Campbell) Bradley; two sons; Jimmy Bradley and David Bradley and brother: Joe Bradley.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 25, 2012, Bro. Joel Frizzell officiating.

Interment with military honors are to follow at Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
