Elva Dean Gipson, 85 of Benton, Kentucky died on Friday, September 28, 2012, at her residence in Benton, Kentucky. She was retired from Ashby Chair Factory.

Born Monday, August 22, 1926 in Calloway County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Willie Joyce and the late Dolly (Pierce) Joyce.

Surviving are husband, Alvin Rudell Gipson of Benton, KY; sons, Alvin Ray Gipson of Benton, KY, Joe Lee Gipson of Hardin, KY and Larry Dale Gipson of Benton, KY, daughter, Vickie Lynn Ford of Marion, KY; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by brothers, Richard "Dick" Joyce, Eric "Pod" Joyce and Archie "Son" Joyce, sisters, Lois Morris and Pearl Brown.

A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 29. 2012 at Collier Funeral Chapel, Benton, Kentucky with Charles Steele officiating.

Interment will follow in Briensburg Cemetery, Benton, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, between 12:00 noon and 2:00 p.m.
