Ms. Carolyn Elane Bloodworth, age 67, of Benton, KY, died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at her home in Benton, KY. Born January 22, 1945 in Marshall Co., KY., she was employed as a cook at Western Baptist Hopsital in Paducah, KY., until her retirement. She was a member of the Vanzora Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Mary Louise (Houser) Bloodworth.
She is survived by two daughters; Kimberly Phelps of Benton, KY., Angela Thompson Alexander of Lone Oak, KY., and six grandchildren; Dakota Phelps of Benton, KY., Savannah Phelps of Benton, KY., Chelsea Thompson Starnes of Norfolk, VA., Jayme Alexander of Lone Oak, KY., Ashlea Alexander of Lone Oak, KY., and Layla Alexander of Lone Oak, KY.
One brother; John Bloodworth of Akron, OH also survives.
She was preceded in death by her mother and two grandchildren; Nikolas Rodriguez and Tanner Rodriguez.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY , 2012.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cole Cemetery in Benton, KY.
Rev. Randy McClure will officiate.
Interment is to follow in the Cole Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Vanzora Baptist Church, c/o Benny Pitt, 326 Lee Burd Rd., Benton, KY 42025.
