Mrs. Alene Pearl Holland, age 90, of Benton, KY, died Friday, January 27, 2012, at 8:45 a.m. at the Calvert City Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. Born February 8, 1921 in Golconda, IL., she was a waitress at the Pelican restaurant in Lake City, KY. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Ethel Vivian (Davis) Kluge.

She is also survived by one daughter; Charlene (Holland) Shelby of Gilbertsville, KY., two sons; Charles Ray Holland of Benton, KY., Joseph Benny Holland of Benton, KY.,five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren.

One brother; Earl Bonnell of Gilbertsville, KY also survives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband; Charles B. Holland, one brother; James Bonnell, and one sister; Juanita Jones.

Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, P.O. Box 492, Benton, KY.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.

Rev. Curtis Harrell and Rev. Chris Moore will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Paducah, KY.

Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2012 at the Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Sunrise Childrens Home, P.O. Box 1429, Mt. Washington, KY 40047.
