Mrs. Sherry Anne (Rendleman) Ross, age 66 of Calvert City, Kentucky died on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Saturday, December 14, 1946, in Anna, IL., she was the daughter of the late Edward Irl Rendleman and the late Jane (Kiest) Rendleman.
She was a 1967 graduate of the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, TN. She was a registered nurse having retired as Assistant Director of Maternal Child Services from Western Baptist Hospital after 39 years of service, a member and past president of the Jaycee-etts, a member of Calvert City United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Fred Ross of Calvert City, KY., two sons, Josh Ross of Calvert City, KY and Justin Ross, wife Jennifer of Calvert City, KY, one brother, Michael E. Rendleman, wife Dubravka of Milford, PA. Three grandchildren, Brady Ross of Calvert City, KY., Kiersten Hayden of Calvert City, KY., and Tyler Ross of Calvert City, KY.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. Dr. Eddie Bromley officiating. Interment will follow the service in Calvert City Cemetery, Calvert City, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Collier Funeral Home in Benton.
The family asks that memorial contribution be made to the ALS Foundation, Kentucky Chapter, Murray KY Walk to Defeat ALS, 2807 Amsterdam Rd., Villa Hills KY 41017.
