Mr. Joseph Houston Jones, 77 of Benton, Kentucky died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Lakeway Nursing & Rehabilitation in Benton, Kentucky.
Born Wednesday, January 9, 1935 in Wemptka, Alabama, he was the son of the late Lester Jones and the late Bertie Fike Jones.
He served as a Airman in the Air Force and a Mason.
Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Doran of Akron, OH, Tina Price of Clinton, TN, Mary Robertson of Knoxville, TN, Jackie Gallaher of Oliver Springs, TN, Brenda Metcalf, Powell, TN; son: Joseph Michael Jones of Ocoee, FL; brother, William L. Jones of Benton, KY; 10 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren; and special friend: Barbara Treas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister: Elizabeth Jones Ward.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with the Rev. Ray Lewis and Rev. Jon Bedwell officiating.
Interment will follow in Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Collier Funeral Home.
A masonic service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at the Chapel of the Collier Funeral Home.
